Hello students and parents! I am Lisa Chawla and I teach Economics in the Social Studies department at Norcross High School. I am very excited about the year and know that we will all  learn many new and useful things together. Exploring economics is a great way to understand our economy, our future/present careers and make better choices as consumers in a global market society.

I graduated at the University of Georgia with a Master's degree in Education. I have been teaching for 10 years in Gwinnett County Schools.

This semester in Economics we will use our textbook: Economics Principles and Practices, Clayton/Glencoe

We will be doing a  variety of activities as we  study our economy analyzing  both current and past events. Student input is extremely important and students are  encouraged get involved in class discussions and keep current on news happenings around us.

Performance Final will be given on December 1, 2011.  Study and practice your writing!

Take your book home every night and review topics covered in class.
