Each month outstanding students are recognized as "positive role models and goodwill ambassadors," the standard for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Franscois Aka is every teacher’s dream student. She is attentive in class, goes the extra mile on all assignments, and reflects a positive attitude every day. Because of this work ethic, she has a high GPA, despite the fact that she’s been in the U.S. less than two years. She was nominated by Ms. Jeanette Butler, ESOL Language Arts teacher.
Khadija Finch is a very conscientious student in all of her endeavors. She prides herself on completing assignments to the very best of her ability. She is such a hard worker and puts her all into everything that she does. She was nominated by Ms. Faith Davenport, Business and Marketing teacher.
Isha Ghodke is respected by both peers and faculty because she personifies exemplary balance and integrity. In addition to excelling academically in the rigorous IB program, her CAS reflections reveal a principled, conscientious, and reflective character. Justin Grua is indispensable as an intern in guitar class by assisting with tuning, helping struggling students, and teaching musical concepts. He is always a positive person, and he brings laughter and happiness to those around him. He is invaluable. He was nominated by Ms. Allison Bates, Orchestra teacher.
Eric Lindberg has shown leadership in Advanced Placement Macroeconomics class, which has challenged other students in the classroom. His ability to grasp economic concepts has been exceptional for a sophomore taking a senior level course. He was nominated by Mr. Larry Swaim, Social Studies Department Chair.
David Saville has already acquired at age 17 what less than 4% of all scouts ever do; he is an Eagle Scout. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He strives for excellence in everything that he does and goes out of his way to help anyone in need. He was nominated by Ms. Tiffany Rojas, Special Education teacher.
Rob Shell is an outstanding leader who sees the potential in his peers and the Norcross community. He is well-respected and has a magnetic personality that encourages others to follow his lead. Rebecca Winters has been a steadfast member of the NHS Orchestra. She is Concertmaster of our top orchestra, Chamber.
